Georgia Bekiou
Chief Operating Officer
Georgia Bekiou is the Chief Operating Officer of World Solutions Group. Her previous role was Executive Vice President of Strategic Operations. She is an accomplished Executive leader with over 16 years senior leadership experience in government and public-sector organizations, specializing in health care and population health at the regional and community levels. In Canada, she worked in leadership roles in government in the BC Ministry of Health, Ministry of Advanced Education, and Ministry of Education, shaping policy, implementing reporting and accountability systems and overseeing the implementation of government sponsored initiatives.
As the senior executive responsible for WSG’s operations, Ms Bekiou has executive authority crossing strategic and operational departments and focuses on WSG's critical capabilities worldwide by connecting internal functions under a global operations team. She also leads the health and social development portfolio for the AG communities.
Ms. Bekiou has held a number of senior Director positions in a large regional health authority responsible for a population of over 2 million, overseeing clinical programs in hospitals and in the community and leading major transformational change initiatives involving complex service redesign. She also served as Director of the Fraser Health South Asian Health Institute (SAHI), the first of its kind in Canada, focusing on improving health outcomes for the region’s South Asian population.
She brings a unique experience and expertise in collaborative governance, spanning government organizations, boards, physician organizations, health authorities and community agencies, and a proven ability to build strong cross-organizational collaboration and partnerships in support of common goals.
Prior to joining WSG, she was the Executive Lead for the General Practice Services Committee (GPSC), overseeing an annual operating budget of $220million, and was instrumental in transforming the delivery of primary care services in communities across the province of British Columbia, Canada.
She is currently also the Executive Director of a non-for-profit organization focused on health and community development.
